Fashion, The Truth

In our fast paced world, we need affirmations on how beautiful we look. We compete with latest fashions, socialize with our trendy peers and we hastily page through our fashion magazines where we daydream of how perfect we would look like: ‘If only I …’

The truth: ”Fashion is an illusion that creates an urge or desire within ourselves of what we can never be.”

Fashion is a business. It is a façade to keep us away from who and what we really are. We compare ourselves to super models and create huge expectations resulting in lack of confidence and stuffing ourselves with whatever is in our fridges.

We need to learn how we want to communicate to the outside world. Explore how you can enhance your natural features, what compliments your beauty and what works for you.

We can make it our business to look good. We can take the power back because we are the driver of our own lives. The good news is that the world has enough for everyone and everything. Our planet will be in perfect harmony and equilibrium as there will be no waste.
It is worth communicating your own style to the world and be the individual you are. Apply this view in all aspects of your life and you will live with confidence, happiness and authenticity, wherever you go.

What Colour is the Wind?

source* adgen_energy.com

The colour of the wind is crystal clear energy, filled with magical powers of purity, balance and growth. When our skies experience this natural phenomena called wind, crystal energy expands everywhere and embraces each and everything. However, something else happens when the wind howls.

I recently discovered the connection between my well being and the wind. I took the example of our local South Easter, aka the Cape Doctor. He assists from spring to late summer and masters away thick smog to crisp, fresh sea air within one day. He deals with flying garbage and sticks them against metal fences. He clears away my runny nose and heals my colds and flu. When he blows, I am  aware of his powerful presence: he is charging me with his energy, allowing health to vibrate in all my cells.

Now charged with an amazing life force, the Cape Doctor also throws us out of our comfort zones. We have to move like the wind: if we walk against him, we become weak. If we walk with him we gain a lot of strength. In fact, when we unify with the colour of the wind, we will become fearless!

Cry

source* tmag.ir

Three letters with a lot of meaning and it affects every human being on this planet. What comes up for you when you say the word, ‘cry’? Do you feel sad, happy, relieved or do you feel nothing?

According to Wikipedia, crying can be defined as a complex secretomotor phenomenon characterized by the shedding of tears from the lacrimal apparatus, without any irritation of the ocular structures.

source* iconarchive.com

The way I see it, crying is all about expressing oneself and letting go. It is proven the act of crying allows oneself to touch base with one’s emotions and its the body’s natural response to one’s emotions. It unblocks emotional congestion to flow freely into a new dimension of joy and forgiveness. It allows one to see life with a new, fresh approach and creates opportunities for growth, love and lightness.

Why don’t we advertise crying and its benefits? Why do people turn their cheeks when they see someone crying in public? Babies cry freely, why can’t we? Why do we cry in our homes, in our bedrooms where no one can see us? Why don’t restaurants cater for crying evenings and cinema’s have crying nights instead of ladies nights? Why don’t politicians take part in crying assemblies instead of arguing or fighting with each other? Sounds amazing doesn’t it? What happened?

Somewhere down the line, we were all brainwashed that crying is for babies. Point is one should not feel embarrass to weep it all out. It will not make us weak or turn us into ‘chicken’. With crying comes profound results, great power. After all, it is part of being human, part of you and part of me. Cry…

If I were the boss

I would choose a company that delivers the most profound product or service. I will be the boss of the universe. The boss who is in charge everywhere and who delivers to all. Sounds unrealistic and too good?

The first thing I would do is to fire everyone and everything that contributed to this messed up planet. I would transfer them to somewhere else, another department. On earth they call it hell, but I call it the moon. At least we can keep an eye on them.

The next thing is to send a universal message of abundant love across the planet. If we all love ourselves and only one person next to us, everyone will experience love. Happiness will reign and people will start thinking if I want happiness, so does everyone else. Nobody wants pain, suffering and loss. No more crime, no more corruption and no more fear. People will start to communicate and there will be freedom of speech.

Together with my main employees, we will take on this universal campaign of Abundant Love. In short, a unity and balance celebration will fill each individual’s lives and there will be enough for everyone. I will teach everyone how to let go of their attachment to life and possessions through various techniques such as generosity, communication and wisdom. I will show them how to tap into their innate, absolute power through meditation in order for everyone to get access to everything and what lies beyond.

Then we’ll deal with the greedy ones. We’ll take the monetary system away and will exchange our natural skills & resources with each other. We will build green, international communities where everyone will live peacefully in a sustainable, oasis of technology and information. And the old cities? We will recycle them and over time, they will disappear. We will teach our children the meaning of life by using these cities as examples of the impermanence and the greedy man: once ruled and now gone. We will unite, open borders and be part of a universal nation. We will call this nation the universal citizen.

True Love

source* smsglitz.com

We all know this beautiful fairytale of that day we’ll meet our true love who’ll sweep us off our feet and take us away where we’ll live happily ever after. Well, most of us have this dream and still do. Our longing for true love is there and we yearn for that special someone, just for us.

Before we find true love, loving oneself seems like the obvious thing to do. It’s impossible to love someone else, if the feeling of love is not within ourselves first.

Today, finding true love has become a full-time search in our modern society. Keeping or maintaining your true love is even harder. How come? What do we wrong?

There is an old saying: ”Truly loving someone is setting them free.”

source*freewallpaperspot.com

We all know we can never own someone else, but we still do that. It is impossible, and this is where we go wrong. Living this fact of knowing we can never own our loved ones, that’s exactly the time we set them free. When this happens, a natural feeling of want arises for our loved ones. We will make any effort to love them and impress them. We will be creative, with a lightness in our step and a happy smile on our face.

As humans we tend to want that what we can’t have. Setting them free does not mean we must let go of them, it means we create a space in our mind and hearts for an unattached love.

Two people walk out of a building into a story

This is the story: ”two people exit a large building in the middle of summer around 5pm in some city. Both unaware of each other as they reach the main exit door. A courteous smile with an extended arm from the gentleman signalling the right to pass. This was followed by an automated nod of gratitude from the lady, then both dashed down the stairs to catch the first yellow taxi. Whilst waiting on the busy pavement, the gentleman looked up and mumbled something about the weather. The lady gave the man a quick glance, and confirmed the same.”

Lets pause here. How often do people, even ourselves talk about the weather? Mostly people we are unfamiliar with. Right? Or do we talk about our latest challenge in life, our dreams or how we are so unhappy with ourselves? Absolutely not. We talk about the weather  because it is the perfect ‘ice’ breaker! Oscar Wilde said that “Conversation about the weather is the last refuge of the unimaginative.”

Where does this come from? How come we talk about the weather? Something we do not have any control of? Something thats beyond our own power and our own personal being? The answer is we all have something in common with the weather. We all share the same space with the weather. It is not a personal thing, it is a universal thing, that affects us all. It is the most neutral thing to talk about without giving away any of ourselves or any part of our busy lives.

A spokesperson said: ”You can’t go anywhere or do anything in Britain without someone talking about the weather and we’re almost proud of the fact that we get more rain than anywhere else.”

What happened with the two people that left the building? They eventually shared a taxi and after much concern about the weather, started talking about how worst the traffic in the city became…..the rest of the story is up to your own imagination.

How do I realize the true benefits of meditation?

personal source*

Today meditation is well known and practiced in our societies. I strongly believe that meditation is our key to lasting happiness. Unfortunately meditation itself seems so complicated and vast. How can I realize the true benefits of meditation without getting confused, demotivated or lost on the way?

To understand the actual experience of meditation, it seems logical to understand the definition of it. Meditation means effortlessly remaining in whatever is. Now effortlessly remaining suggest that I sit in whatever is happening around and inside of me. In short, just sitting with my doing, saying, thinking and external environment.

Let me explain: what happens if I close my eyes, sit straight and look at the flame of a candle. I am aware of sounds, my breath, the object in front of me and my thoughts. Can it be that meditation makes me more aware of what is happening around me? Does meditation create the awareness of who I really am and how the world really functions?

After my experience, meditation brought amazing awareness and clarity in my mind, gave me inner peace and created a balance of tranquility. It makes sense to learn from someone who has reached this state before. I believe that if I continue with meditation and its tools otherwise known as dharma, the benefits will bring phenomenal results, even enlightenment. Just like Buddha Shakyamuni did.

How hard is it to follow instructions

How do I follow instructions and how do I feel about following them? As a matter of fact, it is hard to follow instructions, especially if it is not your own. I say that following instructions equals to that of being controlled. Lets explore.

Control is the power which serves to check, restrain, or hinder. Personally, I do not like being controlled.  For example, when I took my first flight all excited and curious, I was confronted with the intense feeling of being controlled: signs, passport control checks, security checks, safety checks, baggage checks, etc. I was ordered and controlled from one to the other. Following every instruction until I arrived exhausted, with a significant lack of enthusiasm for my return flight.

Are these instructions meant for our highest good?

Instructions or being controlled by an entity all serve a purpose. My above airport scenario unquestionably confirms: safety first.

Once the outcome of a specific instruction is known, a conscious decision to follow it or not seems obvious, with the correct attitude to match. I say that, is the hard part.
